The Archaeology of Death and Burial
This course examines how archaeologists interpret mortuary data to learn about the ideology, values, kinship structure, and political systems of past societies. Contemporary perspectives and legislative frameworks for the treatment of ancient humans are studied. PREREQ: ARCL 2017 and ARCL 2116 or 60 university credits. (lec 1, sem 2) cr 3. Student may not retain credit for both ANTR 4206 and ARCL 4206.
