Mineral Processing II

This course covers the fundamentals and practice of froth flotation, magnetic separation, electrostatic separation, and solid-liquid separation, as they pertain to the minerals industry. The major part of the course is devoted to froth flotation as this is one of the key and most detailed unit operations in mineral processing. Chemical and physical aspects of this process are discussed, as well as its modelling, simulation and control. PREREQ: ENGR 3116 (lec 3, lab 3) cr 3.
