Chemical Reactor Analysis and Design

This course introduces advanced concepts and principles of chemical reaction and reactor engineering with applications in technologically important areas. The course provides a rational basis for addressing engineering challenges in the analysis and design of chemical processes and reactors as they pertain to the processing of chemicals, advanced materials, biochemical processing, catalysis, pulp and paper, and mineral processing. The course material is broad in scope including kinetics of reaction systems, ideal and nonideal reactor models, homogeneous and heterogeneous reactors, isothermal and non-isothermal operations, along with dynamic analysis, stability, and design of industrial reactors.
