Identify and Culture in Canada

This course introduces the Canadian political environment in order to better grasp the pertinent issues facing Canadians today. The course focuses on issues related to the unity and independence of Canada and their impact on members of the Canadian society. Topics include Canadian values, identity (ies) and culture(s), regional, class and linguistic cleavages, gender politics, and Indigenous issues. Pre-requisites: 18 university credits. (lec. 3) 3 cr. Credit cannot be retained for both POLI 2707 and POLI 2705.
